The Spanish defensive midfielder has expressed his faith in stand-in coach Jordi Roura, but says his side must beat Real Valladolid on Saturday for Tito Vilanova

Barcelona's defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets has expressed his confidence in stand-in boss Jordi Roura, who will take charge on Saturday against Real Valladolid.

The 24-year-old admitted that the fixture was very important for his side, and said they needed to win it for themselves and for coach Tito Vilanova.

"WE'LL WIN FOR TITO"

The Blaugrana boss is currently in hospital after undergoing surgery on Thursday to remove a tumour, after he suffered a relapse of cancer first suffered last year.

"Tito is the coach, he's in charge of everything. We'll all do everything we can to make the job as easy as possible for Jordi [Roura], although he's more than capable of that on his own.

"These are three very important points," he said.

"On a collective level, but especially for Tito [Vilanova], we have to win, because there is no alternative. It was negative news, we've had a lot of it, but in the end we are encouraged and that gives us strength to do well in the game," he added.

Busquets was also keen to point out the dangers posed by their opponents, saying: "They have a really good team. I'm not only worried about their aerial ability, I'm worried about all parts of their game.

"They like to play from the back, they play good football and they're having a good season. We have to think about our own game and find a way to win," he said.

Barcelona are currently top of the table with 46 points from 16 games, and travel to face 11th-placed Real Valladolid on Saturday who have amassed 22 points.
