The towering defender believes the Catalans have been nearly perfect so far this term, and is on his way back as he continues to recover from a foot injuryGerard Pique has said he has been satisfied with Barcelona's performances in the opening weeks of the 2012-13 believing they could have not started the campain much better.
The Catalans sit atop of the Primera Division table at the moment with 22 points from eight games, while they have won all their Champions League games so far.
"We’ve had a great start. We’ve won a lot of games and we’re currently leaders. It’s true that a couple of our matches have been tough, but the team is playing well," Pique said at a social media event.
"We couldn’t have started the season any better. There is a good connection in the team and I think we’ll have a great season."
The defender then went on to stress that he's not far away from fully recovering from his foot injury, but will not take any risks to rush his comeback.
"I’m feeling good, much better. I did everything I could to play against Madrid, but in the end we decided to not run any risks. When my foot responds well, I’ll start to train."
Pique has made seven official appearances for Barca so far this season.
