The Blancos legend feels that the illustrious duo would form a good partnership on the pitch, and would jump at the chance to unite them
The 35-year-old recently ended his active career and has set his sights on a post as sporting director in football, and he has made it clear that he would jump at the chance to get the duo together in the same team at some point in his career.
"Who I would sign out of Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi? Whoever would come. They are both a cut above, they're the best in the world," Guti stated to Marca.
"If I could have both of them, I would. I believe they could play alongside each other, because they don't play in the same position.
"The door has closed on my playing days, but I don't want to cut my ties with football. The course [to be a sporting director] gives you the best insight of what a club is like behind the scenes."
Guti made over 500 official appearances for Madrid during his playing career.
