With the 24-year-old's previous deal set to expire in 2013, potential suitors had been alerted to his availability with Manchester United's Sir Alex Ferguson admitting an interest in the talented winger.
But on Monday, the San Mames club revealed that Susaeta has signed an extension.
The Basque winger has spent his entire career in Spain's northern-most region and has been a part of Athletic Bilbao since 2006, making over 60 appearances last season.
Numerous clubs have asked Athletic about the availability of their young forward, but the club had been holding out in the hope he would choose to stay with his boyhood club.
