The 24-year-old spoke positively about Los Rojiblancos' form, and reflected on their recent Super Cup win over ChelseaAtletico Madrid striker Adrian Lopez has revealed that he is happy at the club and is focused on continuing the club's good early season form.
The 24-year-old believes that the Madrid side can maintain the form that saw them beat Athletic Bilbao 4-0 in La Liga, before thumping Champions League holders Chelsea 4-1 in the Uefa Super Cup.
"I'm very happy here. I have a few years left at Atletico Madrid. It's very important to continue to work every day, and be excited at every practice and every game," the Spain international told ABC.es
The skillful attacker then went on to discuss their recent Super Cup triumph, and how they now need to progress.
"The truth is that the whole team did really well against Chelsea, but now the important thing is that people rest and come back with their batteries recharged [after] this week," he explained.
"You have to go little by little, as we have always done. Real Madrid and Barcelona have been at a high level, but we have to look at that, our team, and make this the best year possible, and above all, to treat every game as the same."
Diego Simeone's side have totalled four points from their first two league games.
