Falcao ready for Super Cup clash with Chelsea following hat-trick against Athletic Bilbao

Los Rojiblancos overcame their Basque opponents in an emphatic manner thanks in no small part to the Colombia international, who is overjoyed with his team's state of readiness
Radamel Falcao has expressed his delight with the way Atletico Madrid demolished Athletic Bilbao in a 4-0 win on Monday, after personally accounting for three goals himself.

The 26-year-old is now thinking only of adding the European Super Cup to his consecutive Europa League winner's medals, as he targets victory over continental champions Chelsea on Friday.

"I am very happy with the game we just won," Falcao gushed to AS. "Our play during the victory was overwhelming."

"I have always said I was happy with Atletico Madrid, and now want to exceed the number of goals I managed in my first season in Spain.

"The team is happy and well, and we will be going to try and win Super Cup this Friday."

Falcao will indeed have to keep up his scoring form if the Primera Division outfit are to fancy their chances of overcoming Roberto Di Matteo's men.

The Stamford Bridge side have managed three straight victories in their opening Premier League games.
