thumbnail Hello,

The Catalan midfielder features in the Spanish dub of the movie, portraying an albino pirate who is obsessed in his quest for the 'Pirate of the Year' award

Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta’s off-season took an interesting turn after he lent his voice to a character in the animated feature, Pirates.

The 28-year-old provides the voice in the Spanish language version of the film for the character Pirata Albino, an albino pirate who is in intense pursuit of the coveted ‘Pirate of the Year’ award.

The film is produced by Aardman Animation Studios, the same company responsible for mainstream hits such as Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run.

"I'm very excited about this," Iniesta told Antenta 3. "It's great to think that in the future my daughter will be able to recognize me in an animated film."

Pirates will be released in Spain tomorrow, and has been in theatres in the United Kingdom since March.
