The Frenchman has made it clear that he is ready to fill in on the right side of defence to cover for the lack of other options, if that is what the Blancos coach asks of himLassana Diarra has dismissed reports that he does not want to play at right-back for Real Madrid.
The Frenchman had reportedly told head coach Jose Mourinho that he only wants to play in midfield, but the 27-year-old has stressed that he is happy to help out wherever his coach needs him.
"I play wherever Mourinho wants me to. I am a tireless worker who gives his all for the team," Diarra was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
Madrid are thin on right-backs at the moment following the departure of youngster Daniel Carvajal to Bayer Leverkusen, while Sergio Ramos has largely been used at centre-back recently. Alvaro Arbeloa is therefore Mourinho's only option on the right.
However, Diarra is seemingly ready to fill in whenever Mourinho needs him following his latest comments.
