The 30-year-old fractured his left tibia in December and though he is refusing to name a date for his comeback, he is buoyed by how well his rehabilitation is going
The Spain international has been out of action since fracturing his left tibia during the Blaugrana's Club World Cup semi-final success over Al Sadd in December.
||David Villa is 8/1 with bet365 to finish as top scorer at Euro 2012.
However, Villa's rehabilitation remains on track and on Thursday he walked up 'La Mola', a mountain in Catalunya, with team-mate Sergio Busquets.
"I am very excited and happy," he enthused upon reaching the summit. "The leg is getting better and I am meeting the deadlines set during the recovery [process]."
Turning his attention to Barca's hopes of reclaiming their Primera Division title, Villa added: "All we can do is win our games and wait."
Barcelona currently trail league leaders Real Madrid by four points, with just six rounds of the season remaining.
