The Catalans' executive has stated that the two coaches are nothing like each other, and added that there will not be any news about Pep's contract renewal this week
The latter stated last week that he has a lot in common with the Catalan boss, but the former Spain goalkeeper does not share his opinion on the matter.
"To be honest, I don't see how Guardiola is similar to Mourinho in this case," Zubizarreta was quoted as saying by Sport.
The sporting director then went on to discuss the future of Guardiola at Camp Nou, and stressed that it is unlikely that there will be news about the successful coach's potential contract extension this week.
"I understand the attention and interest of the media, but we expect a quiet week regarding that matter. There is no condition that he has to make a decision this week. It will happen when it happens."
Guardiola, who has been in charge at the European champions since 2008, has an expiring contract at Barcelona but has yet to make a decision about whether he wants to extend his stay or move on.
