TEAM NEWS: Pique dropped as Mascherano starts for Barcelona against Atletico Madrid

The Argentina international steps into the centre of defence for the Catalan club, while his Brazilian team-mate returns for Pep Guardiola at right-back
Barcelona have made three changes from the team who defeated Valencia 5-1 last weekend for the visit to Atletico Madrid on Sunday evening.

Javier Macherano steps into the centre of defence in place of Gerard Pique who has been dropped, while Dani Alves returns at right-back in place of Martin Montoya.

Xavi, who scored Barcelona's fifth in last weekend's thrashing of Unai Emery's side, comes into midfield, with Pedro dropping out of the team and Cesc Fabregas moving up the field as a striker.

Koke, Adrian and Arda Turan support Radamel Falcao in attack for Atletico who continue to be without Diego who is injured.
