Valencia coach Unai Emery says Sunday's 1-1 La Liga draw away at Osasuna was a deserved result and his satisfaction with his side's overall performance.

Roberto Soldado delivered Valencia the lead with a goal in the 85th minute but it was not enough for the full three points, as Manuel Ortiz Toribio levelled the scores again deep into stoppage time.

"This was the right result, to be honest," Emery told reporters at the post-match press conference.

"It was a real shame as Osasuna scored with the last kick of the ball, but a draw is a right reflection of what happened on the pitch.

"I'm satisfied with the team's performance. They ran their socks off and worked incredibly hard. We could have created a bit more chances, but it was a very difficult game."

Valencia remain in third position in the Primera Division table with 35 points from 19 games, though fifth-placed Levante now have an opportunity to close the gap to just two points if they beat Real Zaragoza at the Estadio Ciutat de Valencia on Sunday evening.
