The towering defender has voiced his opinion that the Catalans are nearly unbeatable as long as they as they can maintain their focus and be themselves on the pitch

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has stated his belief that no team can beat the Champions League holders as long as they play their own game.

The Catalans recorded a 2-1 away win over arch-rivals Real Madrid on Wednesday evening in the first leg of Copa del Rey's quarter-finals, and the former Manchester United man is of the opinion that this has given Barca a big confidence boost.

"When we are ourselves, there's no team that can stop us. If we play like we are playing now, we can win titles, and be the best team in the world once again," Pique was quoted as saying on the official Barcelona website.

"We have implanted our style for several years and we always apply it. It doesn't matter where or who we play.

"I'm proud and happy to belong to this team. Very few teams can go to the Santiago Bernabeu and win like we have done. That makes us different."

Barcelona are currently preparing for the upcoming league game away against Malaga on Sunday.
