Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has made it clear that although the club's fans demand a lot of Cristiano Ronaldo, they have always supported the Portugal international and will continue to do just that.

A number of recent reports suggested that the 2011 Fifa Ballon d'Or runner-up was unhappy with the lack of affection at the Santiago Bernabeu, which led to the attacker's refusal to celebrate after scoring his side's fifth goal in the 5-1 win over Granada last weekend.

Nevertheless, Casillas has insisted that there's not problem between the former Manchester United star and the Madrid fans.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is a very competitive player who always tries hard and wants to do his best. People will always ask a lot of him because of the sort of player he is," Casillas was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

"He wants to do his best for himself and for the club. The Bernabeu crowd is very demanding, and that's a good thing.

"There is no debate about his quality. He has always had the support of the fans."

The 26-year-old Ronaldo has already scored 21 goals in 17 La Liga appearances this season.
