Real Madrid's Iker Casillas feels Clasico has lost some of its shine
With the two great rivals now set to lock horns twice more in the Copa del Rey, the Spain goalkeeper feels that the derbies are not as special as they once were

Iker Casillas is of the opinion that the Clasico is losing some of its lustre because Real Madrid and Barcelona are now clashing so regularly.
The great rivals are set to collide again in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey, with Madrid already having booked their place in the last eight and Barca almost inevitably set to join them there, given the Catalans are taking a four-goal advantage into the second-leg of their last 16 tie against Osasuna on Thursday night.
With the pair having met three times already this season, twice in the Super Copa and once in La Liga, Casillas admits that the Clasico no longer feels as special as it once did.
“When there are few it's agreeable [but] when there are a lot you get tired [of them],” he is quoted as saying by Mundo Deportivo.
“In my opinion, as we’ve played so many games, sometimes feels a little decaffeinated.”
Should Barcelona progress to the last eight, they will travel to the Santiago Bernabeu on January 18 before hosting Madrid at Camp Nou seven days later.
