Atletico Madrid's Jose Antonio Reyes poised for Sevilla return - report
The Spanish attacker is reported to be close to re-signing for his former club after enduring a disappointing start to the season at the Vicente Calderon outfit
Atletico Madrid winger Jose Antonio Reyes is on the verge of completing a move to Sevilla, AS reports.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Vicente Calderon in recent weeks after finding himself on the fringes of the action under former boss Gregorio Manzano.
With the appointment of Diego Simeone as coach, it was expected that Reyes would stay on at the club, but the former Arsenal man admitted he was still assessing his options.
Spanish sources claim that Simeone has given the go-ahead for Reyes' transfer as he only wants players who are 100 per cent committed to Atletico.
Reyes will reportedly sign a contract which will run until 2016 with Sevilla, who he left in 2004 to pursue his career abroad with the Gunners.
Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido has called a press conference for Friday, and reports suggest he could announce the signing of Reyes at the event.
