Agent reveals Villarreal striker Nilmar nearing January move to Roma
After failing to land the Brazilian during the summer, the Giallorossi are close to completing a deal for the forward, according to the player's representative
The Giallorossi reportedly had an £18.5 million bid for the Brazilian rejected over the summer but the player’s representative, Orlando da Hora, claimed last month that talks were ongoing with the Serie A side and he has now revealed that an agreement has almost been reached.
"I can only say we're going strong and I think I can close a deal with Roma," Da Hora told Super Deporte.
Nilmar had a fine 2010-11 campaign with Villarreal, netting 17 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions, but has struggled for fitness and form this season, scoring just twice in La Liga.
