Miguel Angel Moya expects defensive approach from Getafe against Barcelona
The goalkeeper feels an offensive approach would be futile against the Spanish champions, and also knows that his side will need to have a slice of luck
By Enis Koylu
Barcelona travel to the Spanish capital having netted a formidable 38 goals in their 12 games so far, and Moya has stated that if his side are to have any chance of success, they will have to defend.
"To be frank, we can't attack because we'd lose. We'll try to play together, be very supportive of each other in difficult times and hope Barcelona aren't fortunate," Moya said.
"We'll try to close out the midfield and play for the team, but they will still be dangerous."
Moya was also full of praise for Barcelona forward Lionel Messi, saying that he was among the top players anywhere on the planet.
"He's the best player in the world along with Cristiano [Ronaldo] and that gives us plenty of motivation to try and make it a great game," he added.
The 27-year-old went on to state his belief that La Liga is a top quality league, despite the fact that only Real Madrid and Barcelona have been competing in the title race over the last few seasons.
"I think they've both improved, but I don't think the level of the league is low. The two teams make the difference," he said.
"Also in a world where advertising and marketing are so important, budgets play a key role because they generate a lot of revenue."
