The La Liga giants are long-time admirers of the explosive forward, but his representative would only say that he talked with the president on WednesdayInternacional star Leandro Damiao has revealed that he had a successful meeting with Barcelona president Sandro Rosell, although he declined to state whether the future of the talented striker was discussed with the figurehead of the Catalan giants.
The Brazil international, 22, has put himself on the radar of several European clubs following an excellent 2011, where he has hit 31 goals in all competitions to help his side win the Campeonato Gaucho and the Recopa Sudamericana over the course of the year.
And while he refused to state if Wednesday evening's meeting was related to his client, representative Vinicius Prates was pleased with the opportunity to talk with Rosell.
"Productive meeting today, Barcelona president Sandro Rosell," the agent posted on his personal twitter account. He also included a picture of himself and the Cule chief.
Barcelona have been consistently linked with a move for the Inter man, and were reportedly willing to pay up to €15 million (£12.9m) for his signature over the summer in a deal that failed to materialise.
Tottenham and Liverpool have also shown interest, although Prates affirmed recently that Damiao was happy to stay in Porto Alegre and would consider signing a new deal to secure his future if the offer was acceptable.
