The Portuguese coach says that his team's poor form in their away games has rung alarm bells, while hitting out at Racing's time-wasting tactics

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has admitted that his side's away form is a major cause for concern.

The Spanish capital club were on Wednesday held to a goalless draw at Racing Santander, just three days after they suffered their first league defeat this season at Levante.

Madrid's form on the road has seen them fall behind in the race for the Liga title, and Mourinho confessed that he is worried by his side's situation.

"In the end, it is the points which count," he told reporters at a press conference. "And we have lost five points on the road. It is worrying, yes."

The Portuguese coach said his team were in control against Racing Santander and lamented that the home side resorted to underhand tactics.

"In the first half we did not play well," Mourinho acknowledged. "But in the second session, we were all over our opponents' midfield, and though we did not create many chances, we were absolutely dominant in the last 30 minutes.

"We have to give credit to Racing, they played well defensively. Despite our effort, we did not have the necessary dynamics as the pace kept dropping thanks to the passiveness of those who let it drop: the substitution cart, [and] the simulations they were allowed to pull."

Madrid have collected seven points from their four league outings so far this season.
