The Brazil international has made it clear that he has a troubled relationship with the Real Madrid defender and also hit out at the official in charge of Sunday's Supercopa clashBarcelona full-back Dani Alves has publicly stated that there is little love lost between him and Real Madrid defender Pepe following Sunday's 2-2 Spanish Supercopa first-leg draw at Santiago Bernabeu.
Alves and Pepe first clashed in last year's Champions League encounter at Real Madrid's home ground when the Portugal international was dismissed after a foul on the Barcelona defender, and the duo renewed rivalries on Sunday evening.
Barcelona's right-back was on the receiving end of a harsh Pepe tackle after the interval, but the Madrid centre-back escaped without being booked, much to the dismay of Alves.
"Pepe is not my friend and we're rivals, let's leave it at that. Referees often lack character when they're in charge of a match at Santiago Bernabeu," fumed the former Sevilla ace to Sport.
Barcelona and Real Madrid again lock horns on Wednesday when the Catalans host the second leg of the Spanish Supercopa.
