Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso has voiced his belief that the Santiago Bernabeu side's 2-2 draw against Barcelona is not a bad result and that the tie can still go either way.
The Copa del Rey holders put in an encouraging performance against the Catalans in Sunday's Spanish Supercopa match, but were unable to record a win in the first leg of the tie.
"This isn't the best result we could get, but it isn't the worst either. We have a good feeling and we have three days to work to earn the best possible result," Alonso was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
Alonso then went on to say that Madrid are determined to win the Spanish Supercup and added that they know how to beat their arch rivals.
"I don't care about favourites. This is a title and we want to win it. We know how we must play to take it," he said.
The second leg will be played at Camp Nou on Wednesday evening.
