By Luis Mira
The Brazil international has indicated that he wants to some more time at Santos before moving to Europe, despite Real Madrid's reported interest in signing him now.
Ribeiro had previously suggested that Neymar wanted only to stay until January, in order to play at the Club World Cup for Santos, but he has now announced that the player wants to experience another entire year at the club before moving on.
"I have been working endlessly for him to say here one more year," Ribeiro told Folha de Sao Paulo. "That is Neymar's wish, to play the Club World Cup and participate in Santos' centenary [in April]."
The player's agent guaranteed that the certainty of his charge moving to Real Madrid remains, saying: "We will work to make everyone happy. For Neymar to stay one more year and for Real to have him after that."
In order to land Neymar, it is reported that Real Madrid will splash out €45 million, the figure in the player's buy-out clause.
