Jeffren Suarez will not join Udinese as makeweight in Alexis Sanchez's transfer - report
The young winger has reportedly made it known he will not be used as bait in a part-exchange deal with the Chilean, nor will he be leaving the Catalan giants in the summer
Jeffren Suarez's father told Barcelona earlier on Monday the winger will see out his contract with the club, according to TV3.
The 23-year-old winger has been strongly suggested as a potential makeweight in the deal which will reportedly bring Udinese's Alexis Sanchez to Camp Nou.
Jeffren does not figure in Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola's first-team plans for the next season and it was suggested he would be interested in a new challenge in order to find regular action.
However, TV3 suggests the player's father, Efren Suarez, has met with Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta to tell him the 23-year-old wants to stay and see out the last year of his contract with the club.
This way, Jeffren, who broke into Barcelona's senior ranks in 2008, will be able to leave the club on a free transfer in the summer of 2012.
