Leeds United have confirmed that teenager Elliott Kebbie will exit the club over the summer amid reports that he is poised to join Barcelona.
The club has announced the teenager has turned down their offer to stay at the Championship side and now looks set to join the youth ranks at the Spanish giants.
"Teenager Elliott Kebbie will not be taking up his place on the club's scholarship scheme next season,” confirmed a statement released on the club's official website.
"The youngster, who has spent eight years with the club's academy prior to being offered a scholarship, re-located to Spain earlier this summer with his mother.
"The club has retained its right to compensation should he choose to pursue a football career in Spain and sign for another club."
Kebbie has reportedly spent time at Barcelona's famous La Masia training site, as well as featuring for their Juvenil B team.
The 16-year-old previously had a trial with Premier League champions Manchester United but now looks destined to move to the Catalan club.
