thumbnail Hello,

The Frenchman, who Arsene Wenger revealed his admiration for this week, is being linked with a move away from the Spanish capital, but believes the club are keen to hold onto him

Karim Benzema says he does not believe Real Madrid are looking to cash in on him this summer.

The France international is continually linked with a move away from the club despite finding goalscoring form in the second half of the season, and the likes of Arsenal and Juventus are reportedly closely monitoring his situation at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Benzema was quoted as saying by Marca: "I do not think that Real Madrid are thinking about selling me this summer. [Head coach Jose] Mourinho has faith in me and wants to stick with me.

"You will see the real Benzema again next term."

The 23-year-old's comments will come as a blow for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who recently voiced his admiration of the striker and stated that a summer transfer is "not impossible".

The former Lyon man also responded to the rumours linking Atletico Madrid forward Sergio Aguero with a move to the Spanish capital in the summer, saying: "Aguero definitely has the quality to play for Real Madrid."
