The Catalans are keen to add an extra attacker to their squad this summer and have reportedly turned their attention to the young Brazilian, who could be available for £13.2m
Leandro Damiao has caught the attention of Barcelona with his performances for Brazilian side Internacional in the past couple of months, according to Sport.
The Catalan giants are looking to add a new forward to their squad in the summer transfer window and have previously been linked with players such as Villarreal's Giuseppe Rossi and Santos star Neymar.
Barcelona have now also added the 21-year-old to their list of potential reinforcements as they consider the Brazil international to be a relatively cheap alternative to Rossi and Neymar.
Damiao started his career with Atletico Ibirama before joining his current club, and the prolific striker has since developed into a key player at Internacional.
Aside from Barcelona, the striker has also been linked with clubs such as Benfica, Juventus and Tottenham in the past few months. An offer in the region of €15 million (£13.2m) could be needed to lure him away from Internacional.
