Pep Guardiola’s men clinched the title by recording a 1-1 away draw against Levante, and the club's president was over the moon with the Catalans' success, also praising their fans
The Catalan giants wrapped up the title with a 1-1 draw away to Levante on Wednesday night, and the club's president has dedicated their success to the supporters.
"This is a very happy moment for all Barcelona fans. This title has tremendous value. We have earned it with a lot of hard work and willpower. We have set a great example," Rosell was quoted as saying by Canal Plus.
"As the club's president, I'm very proud with what we've achieved. All the members and fans have every reason to be proud as well. It's hard to find the right words and describe how I feel. Our players have shown important values on the pitch that they learned at La Masia."
The Barcelona president also expressed his sympathy for the victims of the earthquake in Lorca.
"I just found out what happened in Lorca and I'd like to say that I feel for all the people who are suffering following the earthquake."
Barcelona have a six-point lead over runners-up Real Madrid with only two more games to be played, but Pep Guardiola's side have a superior head-to-head record.
