Real Madrid welcomed one African star in the form of striker Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City on Tuesday, but Marca claims that Mahamadou Diarra could be set for the exit door.
Diarra is close to completing a deal to Malaga after asking Real to pay the rest of his contract for the season to allow him to join Manuel Pellegrini's side.
The midfielder has a preliminary contract in place with Malaga, where he will earn €2.5 million (£2.15m) a season.
The 29-year-old has struggled to find minutes under Jose Mourinho with the likes of Xabi Alonso, Sami Khedira and Lassana Diarra favoured by the Portuguese coach.
Diarra's contract is set to expire in June at the Santiago Bernabeu, after joining the club in 2006 from Lyon.
