Blaugrana coach delighted with his side's performance...
Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola said he was delighted with the way his side played after they secured a 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon stadium in Madrid, and in the process tipped los Colchoneros as title contenders. All three goals came in the first half, with Lionel Messi putting the visitors in front before Raul Garcia restored parity. Gerard Pique then netted what proved to be the winner as Messi was stretched off late on after being fouled by Tomas Ujfalusi, who was sent off for the challenge.
"If they always show this attitude and aggressiveness, they are capable of beating anyone, even [Real] Madrid. If they keep it up throughout the year, they are candidates for the title," he said afterwards at a press conference.
"We showed how we can play and with these players we can go where none have gone before. We just play, play and play.
"If we had won 1-5 there would have been no difference, we played fantastically."
