thumbnail Hello,

The Napoli boss says his side are unlikely to win Serie A this term because of the relentless form shown by fellow challenges Roma and reigning champions Juventus

Rafael Benitez acknowledges that Napoli's Serie A title bid is now out of his side's hands but vows to keep fighting.

The Partenopei sit third in the table, behind both Roma and Juventus, and the Spaniard believes that both clubs ahead of them will have to collapse if his squad are to have a chance.

"We have faith that we can do good things in the league but, if Juventus and Roma keep up their current performances, it will be tough," he told reporters.

Napoli face Swansea City in the Europa League on Thursday and the former Chelsea boss is full of respect for the Welsh side, with whom he says he is familiar.

"They're a team I know well. They did very well when I was in England. [On Thursday], we will try to impose our game," he continued.

Napoli played out a 1-1 draw with Genoa in Serie A on Monday but Benitez says that his side are not in danger of fatiguing, despite their commitments in the Coppa Italia.

He added: "There are no problems from a physical standpoint. The team are still going - look at the game against Roma. The key will be to manage our emotions."
