The Palermo coach warns expectant Rossoneri fans that the iconic Brazilian midfielder will not be at his best right away after a difficult spell in Spain with Real Madrid
The 31-year-old sealed his return to the club where he rose to prominence by signing a two-year deal on deadline day but the Palermo boss and former Rossoneri favourite believes that he will need time to recover his form of old.
"You have to be patient with Kaka. I hope that the fans do not expect to see the Kaka from the past right away," Gattuso told Sky Sport Italia.
"We should not forget that he has not been playing much for the past three years and has been unable to act at his highest level.
"That's why the Milan fans should be patient and give him time. Kaka is a great player and also a good person to have in the dressing room."
Gattuso played alongside Kaka at Milan from 2003 until 2009.
