Mazzarri happy with Inter progress

The new Nerazzurri coach believes that his side are beginning to play the way in which he wants them to, taking the positives from their 2-0 friendly loss to Chelsea
Inter coach Walter Mazzarri is happy with the progress that his team have made despite their 2-0 loss to Chelsea in the International Champions Cup.

The Nerazzurri were consigned to defeat by goals from Eden Hazard and Oscar in Indianapolis but the former Napoli boss is certain that his game-plan is starting to take effect.

"I'm very happy with the way my team played. We started strongly but weren't able to open the scoring," he told the club's official website.

"I'm trying to get the team playing a certain way and we managed to take the game to our opponents.

"Considering the quality of the opposition we were up against, I'm happy."

Mazzarri will take charge of his first competitive game for Inter on August 25 when they face Genoa at San Siro.
