Tevez: I snubbed AC Milan to join Juventus

The striker is set to join the Serie A champions for a fee potentially rising to £15 million, and the Argentine says the Turin club showed more desire for his signature
Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has revealed he snubbed a move to AC Milan in favour of a switch to Juventus.

The Serie A champions agreed a £10 million fee with City on Tuesday, with an extra £5m to be paid if they win the league and reach the Champions League semi-finals next season.

AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani previously insisted Tevez was not a transfer target for the Rossoneri, but the Argentine has revealed the Italian giants were in the running for his signature, only for Juventus to impress him more.

"I'm really happy to be here at Juve," Tevez told Sky Sport Italia.

"It's a really big satisfaction for me. I will tell the rest in the press conference - but Juventus wanted me more than Milan."

Goal understands Juventus have now pinpointed City left-back Aleksandar Kolarov as another summer transfer target.
