Galliani hails 'extraordinary' AC Milan resurgence

The Rossoneri CEO has urged his side to focus on securing third place after a blistering run of results in 2013
Adriano Galliani has hailed AC Milan's performances in the second half of the 2012-13 campaign, but has warned that they must not relax in their pursuit of the Champions League places.

The San Siro side initially struggled to find their best form this season, but a string of good results after the winter break has propelled them into third place with only two more games to go, much to the delight of the club's CEO.

"We have been extraordinary in the second half of the season," Galliani told reporters.

"We have not secured third place yet, though. We can see the finish line, but we need at least one more victory.

"We hope to have the support of a big crowd on Sunday evening [against Roma]."

Milan will secure third place, and thus qualification for the Champions League preliminaries, with a win versus the Giallorossi this weekend.
