Erik Lamela's agent has poured cold water over claims that the midfielder is set to extend his deal with Roma in the near future.
The Argentine has been a bright spot in an inconsistent year for the Giallorossi, scoring 14 times in 28 appearances, and his performances have reportedly caught the interest of the likes of Manchester City.
It had been rumoured that agent Pablo Sabbag was due to meet Roma director of football Walter Sabatini to discuss a new deal for Lamela, but he insists this is not the case.
"I did not set any appointment with Sabatini, I do not think at this time that I will meet him soon," Sabbag told insiderRoma.com. "There is no renewal of the contract, the agreement currently in force is what we have previously subscribed to and will expire on June 30, 2016."
Lamela has played more than 50 games for the Serie A outfit since signing from River Plate in 2011.
