Giaccherini plays down Juventus' Scudetto hopes

The versatile attacker says that the title race is not over just yet, and has underlined the importance of the next few weeks for the Old Lady
Juventus attacker Emanuele Giaccherini has stressed that talk about the Scudetto is premature as he feels a lot can happen in the remainder of the season.

The Bianconeri currently sit atop of the Serie A table, holding a nine-point lead over second-placed Napoli, but Giaccherini remains cautious.

"I think it’s too soon to be talking about the Scudetto. We’ve stretched our lead at the top, but there are still a lot of tough games to play, beginning with Bologna on Saturday," Giaccherini told Mediaset.

"I believe the next five or six will be key. We mustn’t take our foot off the pedal, knowing that if we continue to fight with the same mindset, it’ll be difficult for anyone to catch us.

"We mustn’t look at the other teams, our fate is in our own hands."

Giaccherini has made 12 Serie A appearances so far this term, and netted the winner in Juve's 1-0 win over Catania last weekend.
