Claudio Lotito has hailed Lazio's performance against Inter, claiming that it was a "thoroughly deserved victory" with the club president particularly impressed by their attacking display.
The Aquile snatched a 1-0 win through a late goal from Miroslav Klose at the Stadio Olimpico, a result which left the Nerazzurri four points behind Juventus in Serie A.
“It was a thoroughly deserved victory, as we had plenty of scoring chances," the 55-year-old Italian entrepreneur was quoted as saying by Sky Italia.
"Klose also had two great chances before he found the net, then scored a wonderful goal. I saw a great Lazio side who were well set out."
Lazio are on an impressive run of form that his seen them win four of their last six, and Lotito felt that this latest victory was never really in doubt due to the cohesion of the team.
"Inter hit the woodwork twice, but that is part of the game. They were long-range shots and not particularly down to their play," he added.
"You don't just win games with individual champions but with a team and character. Lazio attacked for 94 minutes."
