The San Siro outfit have refuted rumours that they have already been in contact with the former Barcelona trainer regarding a possible move to the Italian club
A number of reports earlier this week suggested that CEO Adriano Galliani has met with the former Barcelona trainer and his agent to discuss a potential move, but the 2011 Serie A champions have now acted quickly to deny such rumours.
"AC Milan deny recently released media stories of a meeting between club officials, in particular club CEO Adriano Galliani, and Mr. Guardiola or his agent," a statement on the club's official website reads.
Current coach Allegri's position has come under fire following AC Milan's disappointing start to the 2012-13 campaign, and the San Siro side supposedly see Guardiola as the perfect replacement.
The 41-year-old left Barcelona at the end of the 2011-12 campaign in order to take a one-year sabbatical, and currently lives in New York as he enjoys his break away from the game.
