The 27-year-old joined the Nerazzurri on a one-year loan deal ahead of the 2012-13 campaign, but Zamparini has stressed that Palermo will not miss the defender.
"We did not let Silvestre leave for the money, we got rid of him because I did not like him," he was quoted as saying by Calciomercato Sicilia.
"We conceded a lot of goals with him in defence, so we decided to let Inter have him."
The controversial president then went on to voice his dismay with the club's fans' negative attitude, and hinted at selling Palermo if the situation does not change.
"The fans have to help and support us. We need them. The ones protesting against me are the usual 100 or so who also criticised the team and I last season.
"I have invested a lot in this club and this attitude is pushing me towards seriously seeking an investor to take over Palermo."
The Rosanero have lost their opening Serie A games against Napoli and Lazio, respectively, and sit 17th in the table.
