The veteran goalkeeper has nothing but positive words for the tricky attacker, and feels he is ready to make an impact at international levelGianluigi Buffon has taken the time to praise Juventus team-mate Sebastian Giovinco in the wake of the attacker's good start to the 2012-13 campaign.
The 25-year-old has put in some fine performances since his return to the Bianconeri this summer, and his goalkeeper believes his new team-mate has what it takes to make the difference for both club and country.
"I think he wants to show everyone that he’s an international standard player, who can make the difference and is also capable of producing decisive moments in important games," he told the club's official website.
"And I believe the two years with Parma have enabled him to gain awareness of his own strength and also to show his critics that despite his height, viewed as a handicap by some, he has plenty of class that can also emerge on the international scene.
"That’s what he has shown at the start of this season."
Giovinco is part of the Italy squad that will take on Bulgaria on Friday in their first 2014 World Cup qualifier.
