Bologna complete loan signing of Gilardino from Genoa

Bologna have confirmed the loan signing of Alberto Gilardino from Genoa.

Rosoblu were beaten 2-0 away at Chievo on the opening day of the Serie A season and the Italian's pedigree could provide a much needed goal threat.

The 30-year-old has enjoyed a healthy goal scoring record in spells at Parma, Fiorentina and AC Milan, but has played just five times since joining Genoa in January.
