The Partenopei's latest signing is hoping to repay the club's faith in him while revealing his admiration for Marek Hamsik and childhood hero Zinedine Zidane
The Belgian-born Moroccan midfielder completed a move just last week from Brescia to the southern outfit and gave special thanks to Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, for making him feel at home.
"The president's words made me really happy, but now I have to prove myself on the field, and I am only too happy to do so," he was quoted by Sport.it.
The 22-year-old then went on to talk about his admiration for Marek Hamsik whilst revealing who his childhood hero was.
"Achieving what Marek Hamsik has done here would be great. But, Hamsik has scored 60 goals in Serie A. I have much to prove if I am to be compared with him," he continued.
"As a child I idolised Zinedine Zidane, both as a player and as a person."
