Caceres: Juventus are hungry for more trophies

The Uruguay international has insisted that he and his team-mates are motivated to extend the Bianconeri's success, and has compared Antonio Conte to former coach Pep Guardiola
Juventus defender Martin Caceres has insisted that the Bianconeri are hungry for more silverware after winning the Serie A title in the 2011-12 campaign.

The versatile defender acknowledged that things will not be easy for the Turin giants in the new season as they will now also be competing in European competition, but he is determined to fight for top honours once more after last term's successes.

"It will be different to last season," Caceres stated at a press conference. "We'll be playing in the Champions League and it's a very difficult competition. Having said that, we've got great desire and hunger to do as well as possible."

The Uruguay international claimed that Juventus coach Antonio Conte has a similar mentality to former Barcelona trainer Pep Guardiola, whom he worked under at Camp Nou.

"I see similarities between them," Caceres said. "Conte is a very ambitious coach and we can go far with him at the helm. Our style of play is different to Barcelona's, but the ambition and desire to win remain the same."

Juventus start the new season with the Supercoppa Italiana match versus Napoli on August 11.
