Vucinic keen to play Champions League football with Juventus

The Montenegro international is looking forward to playing at the highest level in the new season and is pleased with his side's activity on the transfer market
Juventus attacker Mirko Vucinic is eagerly anticipating the 2012-13 campaign and is keen to measure himself against the best in the Champions League.

The Turin side last featured in Europe's most elite club competition in 2009-10 when they were eliminated in the group stage, and Vucinic is full of ambition to do better this term.

"It’s stimulating to play against many champions. I always did pretty well when I played for Roma in the Champions League," Vucinic was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

"If I had to choose between winning Serie A and the Champions League, I would have to go for the second. It has a particular appeal."

The Montenegro international then went on to discuss the arrival of players such as Kwadwo Asamoah, Mauricio Isla and Lucio, and was pleased to see the Bianconeri further strengthen their team.

"They’re all great players and these important reinforcements will give us a big hand. The more new signings we make, the better."

Juventus open the 2012-13 campaign with the Supercoppa Italiana clash against Napoli on August 18.
