Totti: Roma need new signings to compete with Inter, Juventus & AC Milan

The veteran attacker believes that the Giallorossi need to further strengthen their squad in order to be competitive in the new season
Francesco Totti feels that Roma need new players if they are to fight for silverware in the 2012-13 campaign.

The Giallorossi have already brought in Dodo from Corinthians, while making Marquinho's stay at the club permanent, but the iconic attacker feels they still need a few more quality signings to compete with the Serie A elite.

"We already have quite a good team, but we could do with some new additions. We need some important signings in order to be able to compete for the Scudetto with Juventus, AC Milan and Inter," Totti stated at a press conference.

"I won't go into names, but you definitely need big players if you want to win something. Let's wait and see what happens.

"Are Roma in for a transitional year? I don't think the fans want another year like last term."

Roma finished seventh in Serie A last season and missed out on a Europa League spot.
