The Brazil international has insisted that the Rossoneri have agreed to let the defender play in the summer games after having discussed the issue with the club president
Thiago Silva has stressed that AC Milan do not have any problems with his participation at this summer's Olympics in London.

The centre-back is one of the three over-age players allowed in the Brazil squad for the event, and Thiago Silva has revealed that the Rossoneri have no objections to him playing in the competition.

"There haven’t been any problems with Milan regarding my participation in the Olympics in London," the defender said to reporters.

"I immediately expressed my desire to play in the Olympics and I first talked with [club president Silvio] Berlusconi about it in a very sincere manner.

"The only problem that Milan had was about me not getting enough vacation, but it has all been resolved."

Brazil have been drawn in Group C along Egypt, Belarus and New Zealand. The men's football tournament at the Olympics will run from July 26 to August 11. The 2012-13 Serie A season is scheduled to begin on August 25.
