thumbnail Hello,

The club's sporting director has insisted that they consider the 2011-12 title to be their 30th Scudetto win in the club's history, and praised the team coach for the success

General director Giuseppe Marotta has insisted that Juventus have won 30 league titles rather than the 28 Scudetti that appear on official records, while praising head coach Antonio Conte for his role in the club's success this term.

The Bianconeri were stripped of their 2005 and 2006 titles because of their involvement in the Calciopoli scandal, but Marotta stressed that Juve see this year's title as their 30th success.

"It’s our 30th title as far as we’re concerned, and it's the reward of all the work done by everyone at the club, starting from [club president] Andrea Agnelli," Marotta was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

"It’s everyone’s title, but above all Antonio Conte’s. He’s the true added value and has improved the work started last year. The team have fully responded to his management."

Juventus secured the Serie A title on Sunday by beating Cagliari 2-0, while title rivals AC Milan lost 4-2 against Inter.

The Old Lady meet Atalanta in their last league game of the season on May 13, before taking on Napoli in the final of the Coppa Italia one week later.
