Del Piero appears to rule out new deal with Juventus

The club stated earlier this season that the 37-year-old would not be offered a contract extension in the summer and he is now said to be considering a move to China
Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero has seemingly ruled out the possibility of him signing a new deal with the club.

The veteran, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has turned in a string of impressive cameos in recent weeks, prompting the Juve faithful to start a campaign on Facebook to persuade the club's president, Andrea Agnelli, to offer the World Cup winner an extension.

However, Del Piero has seemingly resigned himself to the fact that he will be leaving Turin in the summer.

"You have all been fantastic in my final games with the team," the 37-year-old forward wrote on his Facebook profile.

"For us, these have been nights to remember and victories that have psyched us up for the final title push."

Del Piero, who has been linked with moves to China, the United States and Japan, joined Juve from Padova in 1993 and is the club's all-time record appearance maker and goalscorer.
