Inter coach Claudio Ranieri dissatisfied with lack of reinforcements in January - report

The club failed to replace outgoing players during the summer and winter transfer, leading to an appalling run of form that has put Champions League qualification in jeopardy

Inter boss Claudio Ranieri is believed to be dissatisfied with his club's lack of activity in the January transfer window, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

In addition to the summer departures such as Samuel Eto'o, Davide Santon and Goran Pandev, the Nerazzurri off-loaded Thiago Motta to Paris Saint-Germain in the winter trade period, and despite the loan arrival of Fredy Guarin, the 60-year-old Ranieri feels they are inadequately staffed.

The San Siro side have failed to win in any of their last five matches in all competitions, and the former Roma coach believes this can be attributed to a dearth of activity in the transfer market.

Meanwhile, Tuttomercatoweb.com is reporting that despite the poor run of form, the club's president Massimo Moratti has no plans to replace Ranieri.

The fans' jeers were ringing out in the San Siro crowd during Sunday's 1-0 Serie A defeat to Novara, urging Moratti to dispense with the coach, but the 66-year-old supremo has no current plans to change the set-up.
